I may need to make (as I cannot find) both hammers for a 12 ga Lefever Nitro Special, someone has removed both, for safety sake, keep the kids from usen Pa's gun, I guess. My question is if a 20 Ga frame used the same size hammers. I think I can get a twenty Ga hammer. Or any other options for parts? Or can anyone give me a sketch (outine) of one, please?

You can easily find your Nitro parts on EBay. 39.99 gets you a set with extra parts. Just do a Lefever search.

I see Nitro special parts there all the time. There are lots of other sources of used gun parts too, such as Numrich or Gun Garage. I think Nitro Special parts are far too common and inexpensive to go through the bother of making a hammer of the correct grade of steel and properly finishing and hardening it.

Parted out Nitro Specials show up on ebay from time to time. I emailed you a diagram and parts list. The Parts List does say to "give gauge of gun" for the hammers.

Diamond Gunsmithing in Ithaca, NY specializes in Ithaca Gun Co. guns such as the Nitro Special. They have some Nitro parts in inventory and have been helpful to folks I have referred there in the past.
