I took my width and thickness measurement's of the frame where the side plates end and made sure I was not hitting the check pin. As for later guns had narrow front parts of the frame because of the way the guns cocked. I was just shocked that my 8 ga had the same size of a frame that my 16s do. lefeverarms.com
