Since you were out of town Argo, you probably didn't hear that Georgia won. They hosted the real championship at the Peach Bowl.

That's exactly what Alabama and Georgia said when they ran into Auburn during the regular reason. They lace 'em up and play. I don't know if it's so easy to go undefeated, none of the big boys wanted it this season. No smoke-n-mirrors, the line beat Auburn on both sides of the ball.

UCF was 0 and 12 in 2015 and not much of a schedule there in 2017 playing in the American Athletic Conference.
Auburn played a beat up Alabama defense that were starting freshmen that never played a down. And Auburn didn't do so good against Georgia the second time around.

Treb, you know this is only fun conversation. I think no way could UCF stand up to the full grind of a top tier schedule, but even though thier opponents fell back, most of UCF's games were top 20 match ups at the time. They made the most of their opportunities, where all the rest didn't.
Let's not get too worried about Alabama playing a freshman now and then. They looked like a junior college in the first half, then a true freshman came in and won them a championship, all in the second half. Most division one teams would sell a kidney for Alabama's recruiting class or bench.
