My copy of the new book on Gallyons Gunmakers of East Anglia, arrived recently.
The book covers the history of the firm from its beginnings to the modern era,with lots of photos of staff, workshops and showrooms.
Not a huge amount on the guns they made but there is a useful appendix of serial numbers of guns they made and the year made.

The book does not seem to be available from the Gallyon web site so I got my copy through Amazon.

Thanks for the info Alan as I was unaware of this one. Have you got the full title, name of author and ISBN number. I will try to order it through my local bookshop. Failing that; Amazon. I can recall visiting both their Cambridge and Norwich shops in the past. Lagopus.....

This is an interesting and well produced book - illustrated with much material and excellent photographs. I recommend it especially to those with an interest in the English gun trade outside London and Birmingham.
It is great to have the history of these businesses recorded so well.
