Question for Wonko: I have a Sig Rizzini o/u that I bought in 2003. It has some kind of laquer from the factory to protect the cc but it is starting to flake and bubble. How can I remove it ?
I have a couple small throw-away aluminum thingies for baking bread I got at the mart. Toss the action in there and slosh it around with some acetone for a few min and it will prolly take off all the whateveritis. Works for Perazzis at any rate. That spray brake cleaner will toast about any finish I've seen too. I always completely disassemble the actions but that may not be necessary. I suspect that the Rizzinis are more like Berettas and disassembly is rather more complicated than the Perazzis but I really don't know.
Perhaps someone else here has had one apart and can tell you.
