Try Heritage Gunsmiths, it is run by Ken Eyster's son. Ken was the choke guru to the pigeon gun crowd.

Thanks for the recommendations. Heritage sounds like a good option...and they do the pattern testing that Lima referenced.

I just bought a '71 vintage Beretta model 410 10 gauge. It's the newer version that was recommended in this thread. I will get the AyA setup for my dad to use turkey hunting and I will use the Beretta for geese and turkey. That completes my 3.5" 10 gauge wish list. I considered a Browning Gold 10 gauge for unplugged use on snow geese but I would rather hunt with the doubles.

I used a case colored lightweight AYA for years with steel shot. I had the shells, so I used them. I never had any sign of bore or choke damage, never did any work to the .045 chokes. I sold the gun a couple of years ago, but I still have the pattern sheets, which are astounding, regardless of the shot size, #2 or BB. I have more than a dozen tens, but this is the one that I liked the most. I never used any other gun for waterfowl for about ten years. My 1 3/4 ounce steel shells cost me about five bucks a box so I didn't see any reason to shoot a twelve.

Thanks for your reply. Why did you sell your AyA if it was your fav?

I have a room full of tens and don't use any of them much any more. My waterfowl hunting was largely in the marsh and a nine pound gun just became too much to carry. However, the AYA was truly a wonder gun.

You like the AyA because of how it patterned? What were some of your other fav 10s?
