It is not that rare to see a gun listed in Cabellas for three or four times it's real value. I hope they did not buy it based on the selling prices. One store had a Remington 1894 B grade with disabled ejectors for 1300 in 10% condition on the racks for two plus years. Another had a Ithaca Western Arms .410 for almost 4 grand. Another great bargain.

At the same time I have bought guns for a fraction of their true value like a Remington Model 12 Gallery Special for less than $200 because it only shot .22 shorts. It was a 90% gun. Or the same model which was on the sale rack because they don't make Remington 22 Special ammo anymore. Same gun would use the Winchester version of the same ammo which can be found. Some of the cape guns are great deals if you figure out the European designation for American cartridges. I missed a nice one because I forgot that minor fact. Instead of a odd European round it was a common round like 22 Hornet or 30-30.
