The Baker Gun & Forging Co. high grade guns were made to order and a Monte Carlo stock is quite possible. Their entry level "Batavia" line -- Special, Brush, Leader and Damascus were made for stock guns with few options offered. In later catalogs in the teens, a cheek piece or Monte Carlo was two or three dollars extra. After they sold the gun business off to H & D Folsom Arms Co., they offered, in the early 1920s, a "Baker Paragon Double Barrel Trap Gun" with a beavertail forearm which they called the "Baker Perfect Grip" forearm.
