I recently looked at a Baker side by side 12 gauge shotgun at a local gunshop. The gun was stocked with a Monte Carlo style stock with a black plastic/hard rubber butt plate with the name BAKER in large letters in the butt plate, with a beavertail forend. My question is whether the stock/forend configuration would have been a factory option? Or am I looking at a re-stocked gun set up for trap? The stock and forend had a lacquer type finish, with decent checkering. The sideplates were marked "Baker Batavia" . I did some searches online and did not locate any images or descriptions that match the gun I saw.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim.
