Once again, what King Brown says in his post above is absolutely not true. This is why I have repeatedly stated my opinion that pretty much everything that King posts here should be independently verified and taken with a huge dose of salt. I'd like to call this sloppy reporting, but King does it so often that I think he may be the Father of "Fake News".
First off, the lead article in the December 2017 issue of The Atlantic is not titled: "Conservatism Without Bigotry, Republicans must reckon with their policies' racial effects. That would be more likely if liberals stopped carelessly crying racist." There is no such article in the December 2017 issue of The Atlantic.
The rhetoric---racial or otherwise in this thread and others---stems in part from different definitions of bigotry, according to lead article in the current (December) The Atlantic.
It's titled "Conservatism Without Bigotry, Republicans must reckon with their policies' racial effects. That would be more likely if liberals stopped carelessly crying racist."
The title of the lead article in The Atlantic's December 2017 issue actually is "The Making of an American Nazi", and it has nothing to do with the racial effects of Republican policies. It is actually a story about a single Neo-Nazi named Andrew Anglin. Here's a link to the article, and a photo of the cover:

It is hilarious to see King once again pretending that he wishes to quell a political discussion here. Of King's 8579 total posts on this Doublegunshop BBS, over half were of a political nature, and had virtually nothing to do with double guns. Many that had anything at all to do with firearms were filled with his anti-2nd Amendment rhetoric and unabashed support for anti-gunners that he remains in denial about... despite being quoted verbatim on many occasions.
"Time to cool it"? No King... time for you and rocky mtn bill to cut the crap.
