Thought you might like to see this, good to see a new name.
Spotted the article on Barrelbrowner's Facebook page .

Nice gun to display in fine wood cabinet for dinner when the VIPs show up at the villa. Think of it as work of art replacing naked Italian statue or fine oil painting on the wall.

You've got that wrong.
Finn is the clue.

Many patrons can shoot any gun in the world they want. And do. Often.

I prefer to look at these more as engineering studies, where the maker is adding his ideas for improvement where he can.
Love those ejectors on this one.

At Gunmaker's Night, there were some craftsmen there that would show you their "improvements" (however slight) they were making to traditional designs.
Some... "deficiencies" (?) in certain designs, are continually being addressed and hopefully improved upon. And I'm glad people are doing that, and that there are patrons pushing for it.

Some of the assisted openers I handled were as smoothly running as glass. Their closing nearly perfect in the level of effort required, and not a ratchety grind among them.

Out there doing it best I can.

Yes, it is dual purpose art from that a patron can use for both hunting and display in library or a dining hall. When the gala is over it goes back into maximum security gun safe.

Unfortunately, at least in Europe, firearms storage safety is compulsory. And the post shoot storage of firearms codified and enforced. So, other than a quick clean up and wipe down, there aren't piles of firearms laying about post shoot day.

But when I shot with "people of significant means", they were very gracious about sharing their firearms, and talking about what and where they were shooting that season.
Many best guns are shot 20-30 days a year, with about a case of cartridges fired each outing. They get used, but not in terrain that brutalizes a shotgun's finish to any great extent.
Shooting on an estate is not chukar hunting. It's game shooting.

Out there doing it best I can.
