Since this is not a breech loader I'll keep it to it's own thread. A dream gun would be a SxS 20 ga, smoothbore flintlock, although this fellow has a 12 ga. Only watch the first half of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUjIhUTbw5sAnd the second how not to load a muzzleloader. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en384qVqrug

Reckon this would work for you? My W.H. Wilson 16 gauge from about 1815 or 1820. All original.

Joe,
Outstanding. I'm drooling.
Intersting to note about 15 years ago there was an incredible collection auctioned off here in Alberta, Canada. All muzzleloaders, over and unders, under hammers, revolving barrels, double flints, double percussion, etc.. I was not in the collecting game nor had the disposable income at the time. A number of serious collectors came up from Texas and took home quite a number of those guns. I talked to a few in Houston a few years ago and they said they were not warmly received since they bid the guns up and took them away from the locals.

You guys are making me sick - what great guns. Joe, that's just a beautiful gun. You certainly can be proud of that one. Paul

Since this is not a breech loader I'll keep it to it's own thread. A dream gun would be a SxS 20 ga, smoothbore flintlock, How interested would you be in a 14 bore percussion gun (possibly french)? I love hammer guns, but I'm not a big fan of muzzleloading hammer guns for upland birds. But I do have a such a gun. If anyone is interested, I'll find picts and send Dave $10 if it sells.

Most of my MZL rifles are flint, my Beretta O/U is percussion and has killed a lot of game, mostly ducks over the years. I would love to find a working double flint shotgun I could afford.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.
