No idea what happened to them along with his Foxes. We "traded" on a Fox but e did not live to complete the transaction.

All those guns he brought back seemed to vanish. I spoke to the dealer who was supposed to liquidate the collection and he said a family member called and said they had decided to get rid of them another way.

I owned one I believe that was made for the European market. Bought in in Japan in 1982. Straight Grip, double triggers, extractors, upgraded wood. Case colored on the sides and the plate on the bottom was blued. Hand engraved with scroll with I'm guessing 25% coverage. Weighed 6 lb 8 ounces and was a 12 gauge. Chokes were marked and were IC and Full.

The Royal Deluxe is seen with plain blonde walnut wood which is very light to begin with.

Jager, most SKB 12's were 2 3/4". The 30" barrels, 3" chambers, and SKB recoil pad pretty much mean it was one of the far less frequently seen magnums.

Meanwhile, the Royal Deluxe worked well on wild roosters. One windy day with only one decent shot (which I managed to hit) and a much nicer day with as quick a limit as I've shot in Iowa in several years.
