Over the past ten years I have been buying guns as an investment for my retirement which started a year ago last May. I bought guns that were in like new/new in the box condition that I knew would increase in value the longer I kept them. I handled them gently and didn't slam them around or bang them up in the field. Mainly: Model 12s, 21s, Superposed, Colt and S&W handguns. So far my investment has paid off. I am getting nearly 1/2 again to twice what I paid for almost everything. In the past year I have sold 5 Model 21s, 4 Model 12s, three Superposed (one- a two barrel set) 5 new in the box Colts, 1 JP Sauer SXS, and 2 as new Colts. I still have a few Model 12s, 6 21s, 2 Superposed and quite a few others. My son wants several and I intend on keeping some for him but. But I surely am having fun plus I am getting the last laugh on all those who called my guns clunky, butt ugly and told me they swung like a pig on a boat oar and I had bad taste. All this and I still have a 21 as a beater. Ain't life grand.
