Seems to me that a focus on any collection is not possible until one experiences the fragmented and chaos of the accumulated.
When we very strictly confine the purchase of one maker, one type, one grade or one condition of our thing, we limit ourselves and the fun of watching the dawn of the light. We are still in the darkness and will never see the light of day.
I hope that most, as I, concentrate on seeking the useful and beautiful in SxSs. Never fear to sell or trade up to better and more elegant (design and style). Never expect to make a profit, even if some do, but never discount the pride that comes from ownership of good things.
Life is far too short not to surround yourself with beauty.
I have read that beauty follows function. With SxSs we can have both simultaneously.
