Miller,you have got the picture.This is referring to hammerless guns.The pins are held in their full protruding mode by the fired
internal hammers so you can assess the length and shape and then I have used a small file or fishing hook hone to alter the length
or round and smooth particularly the bottom edge of the pins which seems to be where the binding or "striker drag" seems to happen.As mentioned I cello-tape the breech face to avoid marking it with the hone etc. It has worked for me. Terry
