I also went on Friday and would broadly echo all of your positive comments, though I got there very early (before 07:00) and had quite a long walk from where my car was parked.
No queues, easy (free for me to) entrance, quite well laid out.
Fishing areas pretty thin. Ground very soft going, but dry, so no problems.
Only problem (and no fault of the Game Fair) was dreadful traffic (2 hours at a walking pace) on the way home late Friday afternoon on M25 and M40/A40 through Oxford.
Friends who had paid for advance/forward parking (Friday) did have some problems, and I understand it got VERY muddy today after overnight rain on the soft ground.
I will go again next year (Ragley) which is quite near me fortunately.
