Headed to west-central Minnesota tomorrow for a little visit with family. I will also be up north a bit for some walleyes, so I'll be looking over some coverts. Not long now.

Can you talk the old boy into making some corned goose for us again, Lloyd?
The left over goose stew was superb, also.
I think my survival instinct has started to kick in, as the Mrs. and Son will be out of country for the next month, and I'm on my own for meals.
I might loose some weight, however.

Ted: Those corned-goose Ruben sandwiches are traditional grouse-trail food up there now. When you're mostly living on social security, goose becomes a primary-protein pretty quickly. You also don't tend to get too-fat when you're living off of the land (& lake). Do I need to send you a "care" package?

I'll be near Clermont PA on Thanksgiving hunting grouse. Miles of UNPOSTED land to hunt!!!!!   More than 60 days but its now the only day I hunt upland game so its still a very special day.

Treblig, The gun is my Browning BSS-SL in 12 ga. that I use for almost all my upland hunting. I also have the same in 20 ga. that sometimes gets the call. Karl
