Since 1925, 8 and 10 bore guns have been prohibited for hunting ducks here in Victoria, SE Australia. They fell under a rather too expansive definition of punt guns in the Wildlife Act. This has just been relaxed, and from next year, we will be able to use up to 10g. 10s are few and far between here, having been redundant for so long, but there are a few about, and it will be a treat for some of them to go afield from next year's season. I'll take it as a minor win, and look forward to taking my 1880 Scott toplever hammer damascus single 10 out to a swamp (with lead, too, given our exemption for twist-barrelled guns).
