There's something distictly jarring about reading "nothing on the internet is forever", when we've been told forever to keep ourselves nice because "once you hit "Enter", it could be there forever".
I remember reading something about a lot of these "free" sites: gmail, facebook, PB etc: something like: if you're not paying for it, it's not a product; YOU are the product.
