I think Bob Brister may have said something similar concerning the magic (or maybe he said mystery) of why the 28 patterns so well with its standard 3/4 oz load. Along with, I believe, why the old super pigeon load--1 1/4 oz shot, 3 1/4 DE--also patterns so well.
