I agree that B&P Comp One 7/8 oz. or 1 oz. are excellent shells
Competition One 24 gr. = about 7/8 oz. - 1160 fps - 5804 psi
Competition One 28 gr. = about 1 oz. - 1160 fps - 6530 psi


I also believe a vintage double that has been shown to have tight lock-up, with barrels free of defects and with adequate wall thickness, may be used with shells that generate pressures for which the gun was originally designed, with caution regarding recoil in light of the aged wood.
