George and others that find that photobucket.com is still working for you. Yesterday it still worked for me, too; but today's a different story as it's no longer allowing me to copy and paste my images--your day may be coming soon, too. I just registered on jpgbox.com and this is a test of posting my first image through them:

Heck, worked fine with jpgbox. In fact easier to use than PB. I'm sold on this one!
Best,
Greg

Yep, here's a pic of my new Louis Christophe .450 BP Express double rifle, posted using jpgbox.

I have uploaded a pic file to jpgbox; now how do I insert that pic into a post?
* Log into jpgbox.com * Click on "My Account" * Click on "My uploaded images", then choose your pic. * Click on the url in the box that says for "For Forums", the url of your pic will hi-lite in blue. * Then come back here and right click in the body of the post where you want to insert it. Then click on paste, you will see that url appear. Click on preview and the pic you inserted will be shown, if everything looks copacetic, click on submit. Notes: It appears that jpgbox's default size is 600 x 400 pixels, you can enlarge that to 800 x 600 and your pic will show up here a little larger (compare gjw's to Keith's and my post above to see the difference in image sizes). If you want to post more than one pic in a post it's easiest if you have two windows open and then toggle between the two.

This has happened to other photo hosting sites as well in the past. There is a 5 year grace period where everything is free then the hammer comes down. It's a shame and a scam. A lot of historical research is gone.
Is there a way to post photos directly to this forum? Storage has gotten so cheap some BBS forums are now self hosting photos so they are around forever.

Is there a way to post photos directly to this forum? I agree it's a shame, but .......... a scam? Hardly. We use something for free, they never promise forever, they never promise security, then we get mad when they change policies? Do we somehow DESERVE freebies? Kinda sounds like those who get on the welfare dole, getting something they never earned or paid for, then get jacked put of shape when it is denied them. You get what you pay for ............ and in this case you paid nothing. Anyone who placed their faith in PB to safeguard valuable photos should have known better in the first place. SRH
