Last gun I considered bringing into this country was an antique which is easier and cheaper to do. Holt's offered to handle everything on their end, for a fee, which is not cheap, with freight, insurance, having someone get it through customs for me, I figured it would have been $750-800.00. I could have saved $100-150 if I did my end myself but if I had a problem I'd have to deal with it and that could have been a lot of extra time.
There are some who will do it for less, if you can wait until they can bring in several at a time. It does get a little cheaper but still not cheap. And they are doing it to make a little money but they are not getting rich at it. Gone are the days I could get an antique gun shipped to my door for $200-250.00. Those were the days.
