Barnett' ad says it's a DH, and not a DHE......so, no ejectors John.

I love Parkers, but I just can't get past that engraving especially when you compare it to the Bulino engraving of today. It's correct for the gun, just right. That's more important. JR I agree, beautiful Parker 28 gauge and at 5 1/2 pounds just perfect. What frame would that be on or did Parker make only one frame size for their 28 gauges?

At 5 lbs. 8 oz. it probably is on a 00-frame, but Parker did build their 28-ga. guns on a 0-frame as well.

Barnett's guns sure get a lot of extra advertising here.

I'm not really a player here guys. I do, however, think this gun is a better investment than many other things right now, such as gold, silver, or ugh, the stock market. But it is nice to consider in the portfolio. I haven't ruled it out completely. Let it sit for a while and see what happens. Steve has some buyers who he only has to notify about stuff like this and its usually gone.
But the utter rarity of this gun is what makes it. The fact it is a DAMASCUS 28 ga. DHE. Talk about rare, this is it. But the fact it is so pristeen and untouched makes it even more so. JR I agree with everything you have said on the subject gun John. It is an extremely rare and beautiful Parker and the Damascus barrels really "seal the deal" for me. Unfortunately it is beyond my reach too. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with the one I have - DHE, 28 gauge, Damascus barrels - just not in as nice condition.

Barnett's guns sure get a lot of extra advertising here. Not really advertising. Steve and I are good friends, so if that's a disqualifier, so be it. But at this point, he comes up with so much of the stuff, such as this, that is just not "see-able" anywhere else. I get absolutely zero for posting his acquisitions here, I just like seeing someone, who works as hard as he does at putting this stuff out there succeed, as well as enjoying the discussion here with all you guys when something like this appears. But he has sort of become "The Man" for fine guns right now, no disrespect to other dealers intended. JR

Parker collectors knew where this gun was and were probably tracking it for a long time and way before John posted. They could tell you exactly where the other eight are also.

Should be 00 frame for the 28. JR The listing states it is an 0-frame. All of the early 28-gauge Parker Bros. guns were 0-frames. So the story goes, there were a bunch of 20-gauge guns languishing in inventory, so the Brothers P decided to rebarrel them as 28-gauges and foist them off on the Parker faithful.
