Does Jack Dudley still post on this board? I do not think so, as I do not remember anythings words from him and quite some time. Seems like he was working for Ruger after he closed Le Becasse. Nice guy, I believe. Bv

Went to work for Cabela's after La Becasse closed. Ran a Gun Library in Idaho, and then one in Maine.

Merely curious. I related here on the board that he had a German hunters bag advertised once upon a time when he apparently had La Becasse that was the exact bag I had seen in Germany in the mid 70's and I passed it up and have wished several times since that I had not. I would like to know if by chance he still had it and if it is still for sale. Oh well. If you snooze you lose!!

I talk to Jack via email from time to time. He's left the gun business. Still in Vermont, selling real estate! Now. He seems to be doing well. He's a good man.

Not quite what I am looking for. I am familiar with Frankonia and have a couple of the fleecwear items. The bag I am looking for that I saw in Germany and that Jack had is a sizeable shell bag/shooter's bag of heavy yet supple leather. I recall it being light brown, but not tan. It had bird thongs attached (and removable I believe) and it had a row of shell loops just below the bag opening and under the flap when closed. There was an outside pocket with flap just under the shell loops.
