I believe the consensus was that J.P. Sauer built the gun for Ed. Kettner. We do not know for sure the true circumstances.
What I like about this gun, (besides the steel barrels), is that the short hammers are below the line of sight when cocked and it felt like shooting a hammerless sxs.
