There was noted Gunsmith in the Memphis area that had some nice Purdys...when people saw them get wet they cringed...his reply was a little rain never hurt a good gun. I don't picture him using them as a boat paddle.

Really puts the ideas of romance and duck hunting together. You'll see what I mean. Ever hunt across the river maybe forty miles around Caldwell, AR. on the L'Anguille? The retriever was thoroughly confused and to this day I've never had a dog look at me like that after a retrieve!! Jim The 2nd Amendment IS an unalienable right.

It was a damp nasty affair and his old Baker Special to this day shows it. Teal thru goose, the season is long enought to pick your days and take your favorite gun to the wet areas. I had an autoloader traded it in on a Ruger RL for waterfowl hunting, the Red Label is more dependable, easier to clean and better handling. All the best
