Are you guys so rich you can afford to abuse such lovely SxSs? Or are they just fair weather "photo op" guns?
Jack, I'm not. I don't use my doubles for ALL duck hunting, but I do for some. The hunt I described in my earlier post saw a black 390 Beretta in use. I was wading in deep water and knew a nice double would likely be in jeopardy, but the very next day saw me in a blind on the Cache River with my Super Fox HE. I refuse to own a gun that I will not use for it's intended purpose occasionally, though I will admit to "pickin' and choosin" my times for them.
I will use my old (olde, for Lowell) doubles in blinds and occasionally while drifting the creeks and rivers in my camoed (sp.?) kayak, but usually not when wading in deep water where I may fall. And no, I wouldn't use my HE for a paddle even if I had to spend the night in the swamp.
