If Troupe is going to be shooting mostly clays with the Orion leave the pistol grip as is, maybe removing the flared rosewood cap. A pistol grip is on most all serious clays guns for a reason. Greater control. We hunters tend to like the looks of the POW, or the straight grip, but they do not help the shooter handle recoil as well a pistol grip.

Gets rid of some of the flare, and the whiteline spacer at the same time. Won't make it shoot any better, just look a little less Kaliforrny. Troupe will most likely love the gun either way .... just a matter of aesthetics.

I like a slight flare to a pistol grip on a dedicated clays gun.
