FlyChamps,
That is exactly the reason but in reverse. All my double guns except the trap guns have auto safeties. And even my Remington F trap has an auto safety.
I was hunting with the Fox last week and there were a couple of instances (controlling 2 dogs with a collar and whistle, picking up wounded, flapping birds to hand and having to use two hands to put the bird in my vest) that made me very concerned for the safety.
Little Creek,
I expect I would have to go quite far in W. Canada to find a gunsmith with a pin for a Fox.
John Roberts,
I don't own a semi-auto and never would, and only one pump, an Ithaca I've had for 40 years and use once a year to shoot my turkey. All my other shotguns are doubles.
