I get irritated yet at the same time tickled at people selling Parker shotguns that say "Barrels: "Perfect; except for pitting and a dent in the left barrel."

Actually not too bad, Sam, if he's saying everything else is really good, original. I think we overuse the word perfect in our enthusiasm/promotion and then catch ourselves realizing nothing's perfect.

In your title line I see you have singled out Parker. Have you not seen such advertising for every other SXS ever made?

Grossly inaccurate descriptions of guns are not limited to one maker. And heck... they are not limited to guns either.
