As I am always guessing at British gun values I would like to inform myself better, I mean its easier when you have a holland holland in your hands to find a value but its all the others in between.. can I ask you where you get the info on brand value and such...? I use the charts from my market research.
Is there a book or is it from market values and auctions that you go by...? From market values as established by auction results and other verifiable sales.
and any idea whether this was a W.C. Scott action..? Best guess is that Green bought in a machined action and bits and pieces. It could be a in-the-white trade barreled action or action. No way to know unless we find some marks or the Green books have something. Remember that the trade literally traded parts and work back and forth.
