In my experience unless very well fitted to the gun most auction houses and at many gun shows the gun is removed from the case and sold separately. A case with original label and in decent shape goes for around $600. I don't think you get that much selling the gun and case together.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
