The little Leupold that redoak mentions is also very adaptable (long eye relief) and LIGHT--doesn't stress the mounts and rings like some of the monster scopes tend to in heavy recoil arms.

I don't like scopes but my 73-year old eyes need a single aiming point, and a low-power, fixed-power scope seems to work perfectly for me.

As I told my neighbor who seems to favor 20X variable scopes for all rifle uses, "You don't need to be able to hit the individual HAIRS!"....
