BrentD, only a German would feel the need for double underlugs, square crossbolt with extra bite at rear of rib extension, muscular shoulders with (I don't know what you would call that V shaped drop in). This guy must have had a bad dream about blowing up a gun once. And only a German would have attempted all the work to make such a complicated lockup. I can't imagine getting all those locking surfaces engaged simultaneously.

Jerry, I'm not German and I don't much care for most German guns (although I do own a Merkel). But I like this one. And unlike alot of germanic gun work, a lot of what I see in this gun seems functional, if overkill. I especially like hammers - except when they interfere with sight picture while swinging on a bird. That's not a problem here.

Gustav Fukert patented those locks, ejectors, and highly unusual semi-hammers in 1893...but the patent for the Behr looking side clips was not issued until 1904, making that gun (most probably)post 1904...Fukert should have recieved more recognition for his accomplishments...???muzzleshloss???

Is that lever on the side a cocking indicator?
