Several years ago I acquired from a list member this 20 gauge Beretta 412, the folding shotgun. I initially thought about rigging it for turkey hunting, but decided to keep the gun as is, especially the full choke. I've recently carried the 4 lbs., 13 oz., gun woodcockin' shooting Polywad spreaders. There has been some commentary in the forum over the years about these guns. It’s solidly built gun made in 1957 according to the Beretta date code “XIII”. Beretta initially made the gun in Italy, but in later years, made the gun in Brazil. It was made in 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and 36 (.410) gauges and bore. The factory eventually was sold and Taurus handguns are now made there. At the link below, Beretta shows a painting with a hunting scene depicting hunting for a song bird with call cages containing live birds. Any idea the quarry? Note the “pill box” type hunting blind.
