I will do that Mike and thanks. Seems I always think of them after the fact and spoke too soon, maybe. The rifle isn't here yet so I don't know if it wants .318 or .323. At least I'll know where to look.

Curious to know the ballistic equivalent of the 8x58 Sauer--would it be a metric 38-55? And by that I mean in power...Steve

Steve,
It would be between 32-40 and 32Win.Special, closer to the special.

Should be .323, however best course of action is o slug the barrel.

Correction, please:
should definitely be .318 diameter!
Maybe larger diameter bullets can be used (.321 or even .323), but slug first as suggested.

I got so frustrated about .318 bullets that I bought a die from CH4D that squeezes .321 and .323 bullets down to .318. I like simple cup-and-core bullets for this and most 200 grain bullets will work fine.

I was at IWA (european shot show) last week and there is a supplier near me that produces new cases correct cal headstamped I saw one on his desk. I have a drilling in this cal so am ordering 100 for me.
He is not happy about shipping stuff to the usa re product liability risks (understandable) but as they are new maybe thru a 3rd party takes him off the hook. 130 euros for 50 pieces shown on his list. http://www.huelsenmanufaktur.de/images/downloads/SHM-Preisliste.pdf
