Generally speaking that is true, however; there have been several documented single guns and same gauge 2-bbl. sets that came from the factory with an extra forend by special order. Having said this, the OP says it has an extra semi-beavertail forend, I haven't seen the gun he's talking about here, but I wouldn't necessarily describe a standard Repro 12-ga. beavertail as being semi-beavertail.
