The trigger is mechanical. SST problems are, far and away, the most often reported issues with the Repros. That being said, it's usually only a matter of a good cleaning.
Couple questions: Stock has cast ON, as in for a lefty? And there's a "spare" SBT forend? Both are odd. Usually you'd only have an extra forend if you had a 2 barrel set of different gauges. I'd bet you'll find that the spare forend is not numbered to the gun. Might be nice to have (although you might want to check for a good fit), or you might be able to recover a bit of the purchase price if you were to advertise a 12ga Repro forend for sale.
