Yes, repro multi barrel sets in the same gauge only came with 1 forend. The repro guns were machine "engraved" and hand embelished for a little more of a realistic look. The buttplates on repro guns were not inletted in one piece. The center section of wood is a separate piece that is glued to the butt.

Generally speaking that is true, however; there have been several documented single guns and same gauge 2-bbl. sets that came from the factory with an extra forend by special order. Having said this, the OP says it has an extra semi-beavertail forend, I haven't seen the gun he's talking about here, but I wouldn't necessarily describe a standard Repro 12-ga. beavertail as being semi-beavertail.

The trigger is mechanical. SST problems are, far and away, the most often reported issues with the Repros. That being said, it's usually only a matter of a good cleaning.
Couple questions: Stock has cast ON, as in for a lefty? And there's a "spare" SBT forend? Both are odd. Usually you'd only have an extra forend if you had a 2 barrel set of different gauges. I'd bet you'll find that the spare forend is not numbered to the gun. Might be nice to have (although you might want to check for a good fit), or you might be able to recover a bit of the purchase price if you were to advertise a 12ga Repro forend for sale. It has easily noticeable cast for right hand shooter. The semi-beavertail forend fits the gun perfectly and I assume is numbered to the gun. Never thought of checking #s I just assumed previous owner used splinter for hunting and semi-beavertail for round of skeet. As said I'm going to let this one sit in rack for reasonable while before making solid written offer.

If one could make a living as a tire-kicker, Jagermeister would be a wealthy man indeed. This is the same guy who frequents a double-gun forum but does not own even one double gun. He occasionally posts to ask our opinion about some gun he is looking at, but he never buys it. The closest he has come, if we can believe him, was when he claimed to have a 20 gauge Ithaca NID on layaway because he didn't have the funds to pay for it. He later told us that he let the NID go because he needed the money for some inexpensive semi-auto handgun. Here's a link to his most recent tire-kicking, window shopping expedition: Jagermeister's Recent Gun Buying Fantasy- 12/1/2016 A guy who RENTS a cheap Chinese .22 rimfire rifle ain't gonna buy a Parker Repro. But in the last several months, what Jagermeister told us was his only shotgun, a short barreled Ithaca model 37 pump has morphed into a second Ithaca model 37 pump. Maybe his wild internet imagination can meld them into one shotgun with two barrels. Or just maybe, if he was a good boy this year, Santa Claus will put a real double under the tree.

Brian, your comment above made me smile. By the way, that post above was off-topic... something else which also offends you, so please try to do better in the New Year. Or was it just threads and posts that have anything to do with support for the 2nd Amendment that raise your hackles? If that is the case, I can see why you'd want to help Jagermeister who told us he proudly voted for Obama twice.

And i suppose you think your post was on topic??
Thats it keith. You got me... i must be anti-gun. Even though i make my living working on the things... feel free to put me on your doo-doo list and quote the hell out of me in your posts.
By the way... i am against political type posts on here because for a few reasons... ONE: this is not a politics forum. TWO: Political posts on this board is pretty much a form of preaching to the choir. Therefore... who's mind is being changed? THREE: every post about politics ends up swirling in the toilet with the same couple monkeys throwing poop at each other. It is as predictable as the sun rising in the morning. It makes me wonder why Dave tolerates it.

Brian, do you feel better now that you've got that off your chest? Even Ed Good is smart enough to know that you contradicted yourself in your points TWO and THREE above.
I remember the time you got so pissed off that you decided to leave this forum forever.
Too bad forever isn't as long as it used to be.

. You pick up a 90 years old Ithica or Fox with SST that's been hunted heavily in weeds and weather, never apart and almost all work properly. Then you get a Parker repro with single trigger thats sat cased since made and many have SST problem AND it needs a good cleaning to work? How did it get dirty ? That may be right but more likely their single triggers are mechanicly trouble prone. The market understands that.
