I agree with the Johnson's paste wax for protection against the elements, I've used it for many years, too. But, I've always been a little concerned about putting it directly on case hardened surfaces where I was trying to preserve case colors. Fine though it may be, paste wax is an abrasive and I worry that it may lessen the color with repeated usage, even rubbing it on lightly. I could be concerned unnecessarily, tho'.
