A whitesmith could be a tinsmith or seller of tin wares. It is a term that could mean he sold items made from ton or other light metals. Ironmonger would have been worker in iron metals or wares but later came to mean a seller of iron or even steel wares. Bell hanger sounds like an installer type sideline to a retail operation.

From those three things it sounds like he brought in from the trade, guns with his name on them and sold them. I wonder how such a retailer would pick a maker of model to sell. Did he decide on the design, just order a boxlock to be made with his name on it or did he look for items at a good price to sell. A lot like a person who buys slow moving inventory or discontinued items at a bargain price to resell. If only these guns could talk think about what we could learn from them.
