The forend iron may match the serial number of the action, but the forend wood did not come from the factory mounted on that iron.

Well, the good thing is that the numbers match on on the iron and action.

No bbls..He "thinks" he sold them..BUt there are so many guns and so much stuff jammed in there, No One will ever know..

When I bought a DH Parker pigeon gun in parts, in a box, I just took all the parts and sent them to Babe DelGrego. $100 later, I had an assembled action with no parts needed. I paid $400 for the box of parts, including the Miller trigger, and two sets of barrels, one with vent rib. Keith Kearcher repaired the badly dented barrels and reblued them. I think I'm into the whole project for about $1400 or a couple of dollars more, only because the barrels were so badly damaged. It was a worthwhile project for a 32" and 30" two barrel pigeon gun.

Looking at the forend pic, what little I can see, the checkering is not original. Can't quite tell on the buttstock but i don't think it shows a mullered border.

Yeah, checkering is not original on either pieces or just incorrectly recut.

Both pieces of wood, if theynare original Parker wood, are from a very late gun based in the width of the forend and shape of the grip/comb.

I laid out the parts and most of the action is here. The top smap, linkage and bolt are installed as are several other parts. I don't find the hammer spring plungers and the pin that holds the sears in. The sear springs are installed. The safety linkage parts are in the buttstock. The small pin that holds the safety button is missing. The two small screws that lock the hammer pin screws are also missing. I have the J hook and scew that fit on the barrel lug.

The trigger plate assembly appears complete.

There is a pin about 1" long and 1/8" in diameter that I can't figure out if it goes with the action. It looks like it's new. (Just above the rear tang screw in the picture.)

The pin you speak of, looks like it is next to the cocking slide in your photo, is not a part for the gun.

That forend and stock ARE home made. Not factory.

Looks like someone tried to make a new monoblock for it. ?

Here is the monoblock. It looks well machined and seems to fit well. He was having a new set of barrels made by someone who does that work. For some reason not explanationed to me, the barrel builder never completed them.

If I can't find a set of barrels, I could build a new set or get it done. I need to get the original set if he can find them. I would guess the ribs, forend lug, and and extractor would transfer to new set.

Maybe with that monoblock, someone had thoughts of building a double rifle in something like 45-70 or 50-70.

Lot's of work in that monoblock, the Parker action wouldn't be a first choice for an action for a DR conversion. But with a low pressure round and kept that way, it'd work OK.

There a poster there that goes by Birdhunter50 that makes and sells top ribs for DR conversions (they have integral 1/4 rib and front ramp) as well and bottom ribs and has occassional bbl blanks for sale as well. Had some 12ga rifled blanks recently.
