I believe that Donald Trump JR has had a positive influence on his father in regards to maintaining our 2nd Amendments rights.
If you watch this 8 minute interview I think you'll be impressed with just how much insight he has:

That is a great interview. I watched it all, and was even more impressed than before by the intelligence of Donald Trump, Jr. If he reflects what his Dad is, we are in for a great four years (maybe eight).

1. What a great job president elect Trump did raising his kids!
