I came across this and thought people may find it interesting. A P.Webley boxlock with Purdey style thumb lever opening and Greener side safety. Otherwise quite a plain boxlock. I wonder if it was a one-off. Lagopus.....

What a wonderful combination. I wish it were in my gun room. Don't know if it were a one if a kind or made from five different scrap parts bins. Johnnie Cash had a song about a Caddy that was a lunchbox special. One tail fin, one not. 55-56-57-58-59...

Probably someone playing about to see what could be done or maybe as an apprentice piece or a one off order from a customer with eccentric ideas. Now an interesting mystery. Lagopus.....
