The 30-30 has been bashed lately but try those lever revolution bullets and you'll see the light.

John, sorry to butt in to your conversation with Brian but I can answer your question.

Smallest they will make right now is 30-30. This according to the Chapuis Armes Sales Export Manager in France.

Nothing wrong with the 30-30, it's been dropping whitetails since great pappy was in knee pants, it just doesn't seem like a fine double rifle cartridge.

Actually, yes. Somehow that would make it OK.
The cartridges would need to be marked as such though too. Sort of the fiddle versus violin argument.
