The Merkel 1620 model was special because they offered it's 16 gauge shotgun built on a 20 gauge frame, a sweet handling gun for sure. The weight was just over 6 lbs. if I remember. Merkel made their shotguns on dedicated frames except the 16 and .410 gauges. Hope this helps. Karl
