William Richards BLE, No.1 of a pair. 16 bore, circa 1906 (treblig1958: appreciate the kind words!).

28 bore tubeset on Dickinson Estate English .410 frame, circa 2016.

Darne good (pun intended) rainy day gun.

Boy that looks like fun! I haven't shot any grouse or woodcock since my Dad and I went to the Park Falls, WI area in the early 90s. Neither of us had ever done it before but we had a great time. I need to give that another try.

Ted & James:

I appreciate James explaining the "fart in your direction" comment as I fear I didn't get it either. I knew it sounded familiar, but since I don't get much modern media input anymore (fired my TV almost 8 years ago now) I've lost a fair-amount of the media-related cultural stuff. I'm just a mouth-breathing Luddite when it comes to those types of references these days.

Pythons not for everybody, but Ted's reference was funny as hell.

Nice guns, a good hunt, good friends. Nothing better. Thanks for the pix.

I have a Colt Python .357M 7" barrel, custom shop mfg. 1970's, and it is my favorite wheelgun, bar none. But I have friends who swear by their S&W's, that's what makes the world great.

Look closely at the Viburnum in my in-law's yard, next to the bay. There's a grouse in that tree.

and...fish for dinner. Walleyes and big Perch.

Listening to the radio as I was dropping my son off for school. Traffic jams, election news, football reports....yep, back to reality for me. Grousmas doesn't last nearly long enough.

Looks like good times out in the woods, but that's not a half bad catch out on the water either. Thanks for the pictures and comments.
