I'm trying to figure out if this was a standard catalog item or if WLM ordered a batch made like this.
I'm pretty pleased I found this 'new old stock' item.
The currently made model 550 SxS seems to have gained weight, lost a trigger, is stocked lower and shorter, and has become a 'round body'. The price went up too, although you can get choke tubes if you want. It's also coin finish and engraved, so it's quite a different gun.
Market forces at work I suppose. It did take this one almost 10 years to find a customer.
Skeet went well. I don't even need spreaders for the doubles.
